I can honestly say that I've been spoiled so far with amazing historical romances and while I loved them all, The Wallflower Wager is probably one of my favorite this year. I absolutely fell in love with Penny and Gabe, and I was actually a bit sad when I reached the end. As an introduction to the world of Tessa Dare, I was very very impressed.

I am in love, people. Is it possible to love a couple more? Me thinks not, ladies and gentlemen. Hattie and Whit may be one of my favorite couples of this year. As introductions to the works of an author go, this was quite amazing.

My deep dive into historical romances continues with this very entertaining story by Lenora Bell. It's my first book by this author, so I didn't know what to expect when I went into it. Let me tell you people, it was everything I could have hoped and more.

Having been a fan of Carrie Ann Ryan's works for a few years now, I'm always ready to try out anything she writes. I read this book during January's edition of 24in48 readathon. This has sort of become a tradition for me, since I also read Ash Princess during last year's 24in48 readathon. I was very surprised by this book, if I'm honest. I don't know what I was expecting, but I definitely wasn't expecting what went down in this book.

If there's one author I've been told to try out more times than I can count over the years is Lisa Kleypas. Which is probably why I was so scared of picking up one of her books, because my expectations are so high. When the opportunity came to read one of her books I decided to take advantage of it, and let me tell you friends, it was the best decision ever. I now understand why readers kept recommending me her books.
