Hello my dear book lovers! One month from 2018 has come and gone and I have to say that I'm pretty impressed with how this month went. I started out January with a reading slump, but I quickly recovered.
I managed to read 11 books this month:
- 1001 Dark Nights Bundle 14 - my review here
- Away From Me by Lexi Blake
- About That Kiss by Jill Shalvis
- Devoted to Destiny by Lisa Kessler - my review here
- The Sea Devil by Eliza Knight - my review here
- Siren In The City by Lexi Blake - my review here
- Small Town Siren by Lexi Blake - my review here
- Whiskey Secrets by Carrie Ann Ryan - my review here
- What a Werewolf Wants by Kristin Miller
- The Werewolf Wears Prada by Kristin Miller
- Beauty and the Werewolf by Kristin Miller
This month I participated in the global blog tour for Marie Lu's Batman: Nightwalker and I loved it. I loved Batman, which I didn't completely expect, but I was hoping for that.
I also reviewed Need To Know by Karen Cleveland and House of Shadows by Nicola Cornick.
The good thing that also happened is that with the help of Elgee from Elgee Writes I changed my blog theme. She's an absolute sweetheart and I owe my new look to her. Thank you!!!
What I'm reading: I'm currently reading The Pelican Brief by John Grisham. I'm liking it so far. I haven't yet gotten to understand why it's called "pelican" but I'm hoping I'll get there soon.
What I'm watching: Right now I'm in a TV slump. I don't know what to watch and that makes me sad.
What I'm listening to: I've been in a country music mood lately. Which if you know me, you know it's strange for me to listen to country music in the winter, but there you go. Usually I'm blasting country music in the summer, or at least from the time the weather starts warming up a little bit. Anyway... I was going through Luke Bryan's albums over on Spotify, and I also listened to Zac Brown Band. Right now I'm listening to Frankie Ballard's Sunshine & Whiskey.
Plans for February: I have a few ARCs and review copies to read in February, as well as some blog tours coming up that I'm very excited about. I'm also planning on picking up one of my dearest features here on my blog, Sunday Book Soundtrack. I've hit a wall with my inspiration for that feature for a long time, but I feel that the muse fairies are playing nice to me again and I am very excited to share all of my playlists with you guys.
All in all, I really like how this month went. Hopefully February will be just as good.
What about you? How was your month?
I think I only read five books this month. Classes are starting up again, so I should read more next month.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great February!
Reading 11 books in a single month is a really brilliant count and you should be so proud! I hope you enjoyed all of these reads. I've never read a John Grisham book and I want to, so I hope you will be able to continue enjoying it. I think you should try the series Baby Daddy - it's short 20 min episodes of comedy and I love them. Or if mysteries and law series are more your thing I would highly recommend Luther.

Oh wow, reading 11 books and that too after a reading slump is definitely impressive. I can see you enjoyed this month a lot.
ReplyDeleteYour theme is looking great now :) And that playlist feature looks good. I'll be waiting for your post :)
My month was also good overall. I read 8 books and I quite enjoyed all of them.
