Blurb (from Goodreads):
The Montgomery Ink series continues with the so-called sensible sister and the one man she never should have fallen for.

For Thea Montgomery, baking isn’t only therapeutic, it’s also her dream job. She’s worked countless hours keeping her bakery afloat, and now that it’s where she wants it to be, she’s ready to expand and take the next step. When it comes to work and her family, she’s on top of her game. Her personal life, however, is a different story.

When Dimitri Carr isn’t teaching and hiding his ink under long sleeves to keep the bosses happy, he’s trying to be the best brother and friend he can be. After his divorce, he’d thought he would lose Thea from his life forever because she’s his ex-wife’s best friend. But now that he’s free, and the two of them realize they want to keep their friendship. Then he finally sees what he’s been missing all this time.

But there are more problems than the fact that Dimitri is Thea’s best friend’s ex. And when accidental touches and flirtations aren’t enough for either of them, and they’re finally ready to take the next step, they’ll find out exactly what that cost is for crossing that line. And will need to find the strength to face it.

The newest installment in the Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs saga is out and let me tell you, I very much enjoyed this story.

Restless Ink is the story of Dimitri and Thea as they discover love, while also trying to make sense of some strange incidents in their lives. I liked reading about their story, and trying to figure out what is going on, who is trying to hurt Thea, and what is the deal with Dimitri's ex. I really enjoyed the chemistry that Thea and Dimitri had. I will admit, at times I was just a tad confused of the fact that it took them so many years and a failed marriage to figure out they were perfect for each other, but I guess better late then never, right?

Thea is a really successful woman. She owns her own bakery and she has so many dreams for the future and I am excited to see glimpses into her future in the next book. She also seems somewhat tamer than all other Montgomery women. I can't put my finger on it exactly, but she's her own woman, and I loved that about her. I also liked her with Dimitri. It's not that their relationship made her a lot different than she was before him, but she seemed more carefree with him. She also started seeing her so-called best friend in a different light because of her relationship with Dimitri, which according to her sisters was way overdue. And let me tell you, they were right.

Dimitri was a cool guy. I loved the fact that he had a dog, and that dog was such a cutie pie. I may be biased because I love dogs, but Dimitri's dog was soooo cute. Dimitri is also very, very good for Thea. I really felt sorry for how his ex wife made him feel like he wasn't such a great guy, even though he did nothing wrong in their relationship. You could tell he had some regrets about how things went, but considering his ex, it's not that he could have done anything differently. Which only made my confusion about why did it take Thea and him so long to figure out they were perfect for each other grow.

I loved where the author went with this story. I didn't figure it out until a little bit too late, kind of like Thea, but eventually I saw the pattern. I didn't see that one coming, and I'm actually glad to see some books explore this particular topic, about exes and how sometimes they might not take the idea that their former partners might find someone else very well. I also loved that the ending showed a little bit of the aftermath of what happened, and how both Thea and Dimitri dealt with everything. I was really sad for Thea, because she definitely didn't deserve what happened to her, so I'm hoping the next book will bring some happy news for her.

After the events in this book I'm very excited to see the next book, and what the main characters from the next installment will have to go through. There have been some hints in Restless Ink that things might not be going so well between Roxie and Carter, next book's couple, and I'm really curious to see what happens with them.

As always, a very good book by this author, and I am very, very excited to read more.
