Blogoween Day 9: Bookish Monster Bender

Blogoween is hosted by Clo @ Book Dragons | Banner made by me, a.k.a Ruby, using Canva

Hello my dear book lovers! The prompt for Day 9 of Blogoween is suuuuuuper interesting and I can't wait to see what everyone wrote. Basically the idea is to recreate a book or a character in their horror version. I have always imagined the "what if" scenarios while reading certain books, and this prompt sounds just like my idea of fun. Let's start!

Blurb (from Goodreads):
“Hi Monty. Wanna see my python?”

That’s how I ended up in the bathroom of some dive bar with a stranger.

Me, Monty Andrews, the quintessential virgin girl next door.

I was so out of my element, but there was no denying our explosive attraction, even via text.

Commence Operation Bang Each Other Out of Our Systems, because that was all it was—unfinished business.

I had no intention of falling back into the sheets with the tattooed, muscly, dirty-in-the-best-kind-of-way single dad over and over again…but I did.

Everything was going great—until we discovered I was his son’s teacher.

Blogoween Day 8: Gory Magical Sweet

Blogoween is hosted by Clo @ Book Dragons | Banner made by me, a.k.a Ruby, using Canva

Hello my dear book lovers! Starting from Day 8, our new host for Blogoween is going to be Camilla from The Reader in the Attic. The first prompt is very interesting. Here's the explanation for this prompt:
Create one or more snacks (sweet or savoury) and a drink (if you want), all must be Halloween themed. Should be created with a mix of common food elements and parts of our beloved mythical and magical creatures. Just to be clear: things like rainbow unicorn sparkles aren’t gory. Get morbid.
Sounds interesting, isn't it? Let's get started!

Audience: +18
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Publisher: DLZ Entertainment, LLC
Release Date: October 9th 2018
My Rating: 4.5 Cups

Blurb (from Goodreads):
Re-released in a second edition with new content.

Holly Lang has a hard time trusting men. Eight years ago, her husband tossed her aside and took her son away from her. Finding the little town of Bliss has given her a second chance at life, new friends, and sense of belonging. Unfortunately, Bliss also seems to have filled her days and nights with dreams of two beautiful men. She can’t stop thinking about the gentle but haunted Dr. Caleb Burke, and the exotic and dangerous Alexei Markov.

Caleb Burke isn’t your ordinary town doctor, but he’s always dedicated himself to trying to be a good man. His journey to this quirky little town was not an easy one. Some of the stops along the way left him scarred in more ways than one. But when he first sees Holly, it’s like someone threw open the blinds and let the sunlight into his life for the first time in years.

Alexei Markov is nothing like Caleb Burke. Working as a hit man for the Russian mafia, he was forced to do unspeakable things. He suffered through all the moral compromises to fulfill one simple goal, killing the man who murdered his brother. When a mission led him to Bliss, he found something more precious than vengeance. A woman named Holly Lang. Throughout months of living in witness protection, testifying against his former employers, all he could think about was finding his way back to her.

After returning to Bliss, Alexei and his strange new ally Caleb discover that they aren’t the only ones interested in Holly. Someone else is stalking her and appears to want her dead. The only way to discover the identity of the killer is for all three to face up to the secrets of their past and work together to fight for everything they have found in Bliss.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books I've Had On My TBR The Longest

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Today's Top Ten Tuesday is about the longest books we've ever read. I was trying to make this list, but I found out that according to Goodreads about 6 of those books are 1001 Dark Nights bundles (awesome stories, BTW, sooo worth the read), 2 were Harry Potter books and two were Sherrilyn Kenyon books. All awesome reads, but no one wants to see the same thing over and over again, really, and I personally don't want to write the same thing over and over, so I've decided to tweak the prompt a little bit. I've decided to write about the books I've been meaning to read for a long time now, but for some reason I've never quite found the courage to pick them up. I will say though that some of these books are not on my GR TBR shelf, for no real reason other than I've been meaning to read these since before GR existed or before I knew about it, and I just haven't added them on my TBR shelf. So without further ado, here are
