Monthly Wrap-up: July 2018

Hello lovely book lovers!

July was a pretty good month. I got to read 12 books, I made some pretty good progress on some of my reading challenges and I participated in two readathons. I'd say that's good, wouldn't you?

Let's get started!

What I Read

On The Blog

July has been the month of discussion posts, really. From Top Ten Tuesday, to my TBR clean-up posts and with some Wednesday Chatter topics now and then.

I have to say, I'm especially proud of my Spinning The Yarn posts. I'm proud of every post, really, but I've had my eye on dedicating the occasional post to my other hobby, creating stuff with yarn, be it crochet or knitting, and I'm glad I finally got the courage to write it.

Reading Challenges progress

Netgalley & Edelweiss Reading Challenge: 14 out of 25 books, 56% done.
New Authors Reading Challenge: 17 out of 100 authors, 17% done
2018 Discussion Challenge: 7 out of 30 discussion posts, 23%
2018 Blogger Shame: 1 out of 24 books, 4% done

Those are not bad stats, though not quite good either for my taste. Luckily, August is the month of ARCs and ARC August, so I'm going to definitely be making some more important progress on some of the reading challenges I'm signed up for.

What I'm Watching

Currently nothing. I'm planning on dedicating this month to reading only, so I can finish reading the books I've set for my ARC August TBR.

Plans for August

Aside from ARC August, I was thinking of making some new stuff for bookstagram. I'm very proud with how one of the photos for this week turned out (you'll know it when you see it, but I think it goes live tomorrow on my bookstagram account) and I'm thinking of taking similar photos from now on. We'll see.

Other than that I'm busy busy busy trying to find some more bookish and nerdy patterns for Spinning The Yarn, and I'm planning on reading more this month. I'm aiming for 15 books, but we'll see.

How was your month? Did you have a good reading month? What was your favorite book you read in July?
