It is with great pride that I start today's episode of Down The TBR Hole feature. Why, you ask? Because I managed to not add one book on my TBR. That's right, people! My TBR today is where I left it off last week, at 2830 books. I know this number is not mind-blowingly impressive, but to me this is a step in the right direction. Let's start fast before this changes, shall we?

I decided on a goal with these weekly cleanup, guys. Since I know myself really well, I know I won't be able to control my tendencies to add more books on the TBR, mostly because I keep discovering new authors to love, so I have decided that I will be happy with getting my TBR a little under 2500 books. I think that is doable, don't you? Let's get started!

Oh by the way, we're starting at 2836 books, because yes I did add 4 books on my TBR since last time nervous laughter

The last time I did Down The TBR Hole I ended things with only 2833 on my TBR, and even though that post was back in February, I'm happy to say that I managed to keep my wits about me and only added 2 books on my TBR. That is a huge accomplishment and I want reward cookies for it. Diet reward cookies. You know by now how this post works, but just in case you don't, I'm going to look through my TBR list from Goodreads starting with the books I first added there, pick around 10-15 books, read the blurb and decide if I still want to read them or not. I allow myself only 4 to add on my maybe shelf if I'm genuinely on the fence about reading them, but I try not to turn my Maybe shelf into a second TBR shelf. Let's get started!

Today we're starting this post with 2843 books. It's a wonder that I only added 1 book in the two weeks that have passed since I last did a TBR clean-up, but I will not jinx it! I'll be good and I won't even hope to get under 2835 books today. (Okay I will try it, but shhhhh! Don't let my TBR hear you!!!)

I decided to look at 22 books today. My Goodreads shelves are set to show 20 books per page, so I wanted to be able to do a page a day from my TBR starting next week, and I had 2 books left from the previous page to be able to do just that. I like my order, guys! Okay, let's not sit here chit-chatting, and let's get to why we're here today.

I'll be honest, just eyeing the books on today's list, I don't really believe I'll make that much of a progress in taking books off my TBR list, but we'll see. Maybe I'll surprise myself. So as I promised last week I did some off-screen TBR cleaning, with books I either knew I wasn't going to ever pick up to read or sequels of books I haven't yet read, because if I end up reading the first book and I enjoy it, chances are high I'll read the sequels as well, so no harm done there. Because of that, I'm starting today's cleaning with an amazing 2849, which is the lowest I've ever seen that number. I'm proud of getting there, which is why I'm going to look at 20 books today. Let's start!

It feels like YEARS since I last did a Down The TBR Hole post, when in reality it's been only 2 months since my Confused Edition of this feature. I ended that post with 2936 left on my TBR and I was super proud for reaching that number. In the meantime though, the holidays happened, new books were announced, new authors were discovered by me, and I managed to add so many books, I now have to go back to 2972 books. This is a little setback, but stay with me guys, I'm not going to let this TBR bring me down. Let's start!

Last time I did this I ended with 2934 books on my TBR. But since that was almost a month ago, I of course ended up adding books on my TBR so we start today with 2946 books. A big step back, BUT I hope to make some progress today.

I named this post "The Confused Edition" because, as you'll see in the post, most of these books are books that I have no clue how come I haven't read yet. I'm genuinely confused by the fact that they're still in my TBR pile instead of on my Read pile, and I have no excuse or explanation for this situation. I hope I'll rectify this situation soon, once COYER starts. Let's get started!
